This week's music is by Charlie Parr. The song is called "1922." He is my favorite musician. He plays regularly in Duluth, Minnesota. Listen and enjoy him play some great American Folk music!
Ojika is comprised of several small islands located off the west coast of Kyushu, Japan. The islands of Ojika have primarily been fishing/agriculture based communities. Recently, tourism has become a focus as visitors recognize Ojika's unique natural beauty, welcoming people, and traditional lifestyle.
Ojika has now been voted as the favorite destination by American high school students on the People-to-People program for two years in a row!
This website is a resource for English students on the island, but also serves as a source of information for potential visitors, friends, and family. I hope it is helpful for you!
